Gary Pallister believes Manchester United need to make a centre-forward their priority in their summer recruitment plans.
Ruben Amorim's side have come in for a lot of criticism this season for their lack of goals, with both Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zerkzee failing to establish themselves as a leading marksman for the club.
Speaking exclusively to DAZN News, thanks to Spaceport Sweden, the former United defender has put forward two names he thinks his old club should target ahead of next season.
"I think it's plainly obvious for everybody that we need a centre-forward that can score goals," Pallister said.
"Isak at Newcastle seems to be the name that's on everybody's lips at the moment, and what a coup that would be if you could get somebody like him across the line.
"You're also looking at the lad who was at Coventry, at Sporting now, Viktor Gyokeres. He's banging goals in for fun, he's worked with Amorim and he knows what he can bring to the table, so I would suggest that that would be somebody they're looking at as well.
"But United aren't in the position they were in many years ago, where people were desperately coming to Manchester United. They're looking at the club and there's a lot of issues going on.
"Especially if we don't qualify for Europe, it's going to make things doubly difficult to get people through the door who want to play for Manchester United.

"In terms of names and size of clubs, it looks like we've got a great chance, but we're just simply not playing well enough, I don't think, at the moment.
"Whether that can turn around, whether you can carry a little bit of luck through into that competition, I don't know.
"But certainly, the team at the moment would have to up the game quite dramatically, I think, if we're going to actually win the competition."
