There's a London derby on the Premier League docket this weekend, with Tottenham Hotspur set to host West Ham United on Saturday.
The match can hardly be called a marquee fixture as both sides have struggled mightily so far this season. For Spurs, 2025-26 was supposed to be a fresh start under Thomas Frank, who was tasked with improving on the club's 17th-place finish from last season and reinstall Tottenham's position among the elite in England's top flight.
And while Frank has indeed moved the club further away from the relegation zone, the improvement has only been slight as Spurs currently sit 14th on the table.
Despite Tottenham's struggles however, West Ham would surely trade places with them as they sit 18th in the standings and seven points from safety. The Hammers have already undergone one coaching change due to their poor start, but unfortunately for them the switch from Graham Potter to Nuno Espirito Santo didn't do much as the club continued to flounder.
Now Espirito Santo faces the possibility of being sacked by two Premier League clubs in the same season as rumours swirl of his job security being under threat, with Frank's position at Spurs facing similar scrutiny. Could this match be the end of the line for one of these under-fire managers?
DAZN News has all the information for Tottenham vs. West Ham.
Tottenham vs. West Ham will take place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, January 17, at 3pm GMT in the Premier League.
That means that fans watching in North America's Eastern time zone will be able to watch at 10am ET, while kick-off on the West Coast is at 7am PT.
The stoppable force vs. the movable object. These sides are closer together than the standings suggest, with Spurs once again underperforming against expectations and West Ham on a trajectory towards relegation.
Tottenham's woeful home record makes this an even tougher match to predict since they should be favoured against the Hammers, so a scoring draw seems a safe prediction.
Prediction: Tottenham 1-1 West Ham
