Former Scotland and Borussia Dortmund midfielder Paul Lambert says the two biggest teams in Germany "would get on fine" in the Premier League.
Despite sitting fifth in the Bundesliga this season, Dortmund are into the Champions League final where they will face Real Madrid.
It has been a difficult season for Bayern Munich, who will be a full season without a trophy for the first time the 2011-12 season.
Despite their struggles, Munich came within a few minutes of also reaching the Champions League final, only to be denied late on by Madrid.
Lambert, who won 40 caps for Scotland before going on to manage clubs such as Aston Villa and Wolves, says British fans underestimate the two big German sides.
Speaking to Betway, Lambert said: "Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich would be right up there in the Premier League.
"So many English teams bottle it when going to play against Dortmund and Bayern in their own stadiums.
"You’ve got Harry Kane scoring 40 goals, Jamal Musiala who is going to be one of the best players in the world, Florian Wirtz who is outstanding and even Jadon Sancho, look how well he is playing.
"The best teams in Germany would get on fine in the Premier League, calling the Bundesliga a Farmer’s League is British arrogance.
"If you don’t know the talent of the country and you make comments on it, that’s just ignorance. I played there and it was the quickest football I’ve ever been involved in."
