Inter have made a stuttering start to the Serie A campaign, after their shock loss to Udinese earlier this month was followed by their dramatic stoppage-time defeat to Juventus in the Derby d'Italia. 

However, Christian Chivu will be more pleased with his side's performance in the Champions League, where Marcus Thuram's two headers saw off Ajax in their opening game of the league phase. 

The manager will want to see more of that from his team on Sunday when they welcome Sassuolo to the San Siro. 

The promoted side come into it having won their first game of the season last week by beating Lazio and will know the frailties of the home side if they can frustrate them in front of their own fans.
