Location

The club is based in the Monterrey metropolitan area, Nuevo León.

They play their home games at the Estadio BBVA, situated in Guadalupe, Greater Monterrey. 

Origin

The club was founded on 28 June 1945 by a group of industrial businessmen - right near the end of the second World War - and it is the oldest active professional club from the northern part of Mexico.

The Argentine-born striker is the club’s leading marksman this season and is targeting a second Liga MX Golden Boot of his career. 

Manager - Martin Demichelis (ARG)

One for the 'Premier League players that time forgot' games, Demichelis spent three seasons at Manchester City and won the Premier League during the 2010s before retiring in 2017.  

Since moving into management, he's coached River Plate and, in August last year, took over at Monterrey.
