National League Games this weekend: Truro set for longest trip of the season

The National League rolls on to week sixteen, with the usual spills and thrills expected in a full fixture list across Saturday. 

This weekend sees two top games live on DAZN, and among the 3pm kick-offs, one of the longest away days in the division and another big clash at the top of the table.

Games to watch from the National League this weekend

Halifax Town vs York City

• Date: Saturday, October 25
• Time: 12.30pm BST 

The weekend kicks off with Saturday's lunchtime offering on DAZN, as York City visit Halifax looking to keep up with the chasing pack at the top of the table. 

They missed out on an opportunity in midweek to close the gap, when they could only manage a 2-2 draw with second-placed Boreham Wood and can't afford to drop many points if they are to try and match last season's achievements.

They face a Town side looking to bounce back from a surprising defeat to Truro in the week, which brought their winning run to an end. 

Forest Green Rovers vs Boreham Wood 

• Date: Saturday, October 25
• Time: 3:00pm BST 

It's now no win in four games for Robbie Savage after his Forest Green side were on the losing end of his battle with mentor Mark Hughes and Carlisle last weekend. 

It means Rovers have dropped off the pace at the top and in their place are surprise package Boreham Wood, now just a point behind leaders Rochdale. 

Luke Garrard's team are the division's in-form team and will fancy their chances against an out-of-sorts Forest Green. 

Gateshead vs Truro City 

• Date: Saturday, October 25
• Time: 3:00pm BST  

Truro will be in buoyant mood following their win over Halifax on Tuesday - only their third of the season - and they'll need that momentum to fuel what is the longest away trip of the season. 

The club and its fans face a 914-mile round trip to Gateshead on Saturday, knowing a win would take them out of the bottom three. 

Can Jon Askey's side make the long trip worthwhile against a Gateshead side who are still finding their feet under Alun Armstrong this season?
