Location

The club is based in Pachuca, Hidalgo about 90 kilometres north of Mexico City. 

Origin

The club was founded by English miners, and was initially known as Pachuca Football Club.

It went on to become Pachuca Athletic Club a few years later after merging with Pachuca Cricket Club and Valasco Cricket Club. They are one of the founding teams of the Mexican League in 1902.

The forward joined Pachuca on loan from Brazilian club Fluminense and has impressed by becoming the club’s leading goal-getter.

Almada has been in charge since 2021 after previously coaching across South America with teams such as River Plate and Barcelona SC. 

 

Since taking over at Pachuca, he's won the Liga MX and led them to glory in the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
