The Premier League returned following October's international break and wasn't short of the drama we all miss during the fortnight away.
Arsenal remain top, Erling Haaland's still scoring goals, but it's all change at Nottingham Forest, and for Liverpool, it could be time to hit the panic button.
Here are some of the bigger talking points from Matchweek 8.

It was billed as almost a must-win for both managers, and more surprisingly, it was Ruben Amorim who got the biggest win of his Manchester United tenure as they beat the champions at Anfield.
Bryan Mbeumo got United off to the perfect start inside the first minute, and even after Cody Gapko equalized, they found a way to win the game through Harry Maguire and secure a first win at the home of their old rivals for nearly ten years and Liverpool's first Anfield loss in over 400 days.
It's a victory that sees the Red Devils move just two points off Arne Slot's men, and suddenly, there's some momentum at the club for the first time under the Portuguese boss. It's also a victory that could be the turning point for the under-pressure Amorim.
As for Liverpool, the blip in form takes a worrying turn with the defeat, which is easily the worst result of Slot's time in charge.
With Arsenal grinding out results and not looking like they will concede a goal, they can't afford for the Gunners to get much further ahead in the title race, and next week's trip to Brentford is looking like a massive moment in their season.
Nottingham Forest legend Brian Clough was the central figure in 'The Damned United', a story that revolved around his 44-day reign as Leeds boss in the 1970s.
Five decades on, and it's Clough's beloved Forest who have managed to usurp that short spell by removing Ange Postecoglou after just 39 days in charge of the club.
It took just twenty minutes after Forest's 3-0 defeat to Chelsea for the Aussie boss to get his P45 and bring down the curtain on the shortest permanent managerial post in Premier League history.
In truth, his face never fit, and that was evident in Ryan Yates' post-match preview, who tellingly had no farewell message to pass on to Postecoglou after hearing of his sacking.
His six-minute press conference rant on Friday clearly had no bearing on the Forest owners, who wasted no time in removing him following the weekend's defeat, but they have to take some blame for an appointment that clearly looked doomed from the start.
His replacement now looks like being between Sean Dyche and Roberto Mancini. Two names with completely different styles and ideologies, giving the impression that wrong decisions could be quickly made once again from the boardroom.

Last week, we earmarked Sunderland as one of the surprise packages of the season, and the Black Cats show no signs of that new moniker slowing down.
On Saturday, they comfortably saw off bottom-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers in exactly the game promoted teams need to win to have any chance of surviving in the Premier League.
But as things stand, those chances look as high as it's been for any promoted club in the past two seasons.
In fact, Regis Le Bris's men already have more points after eight games than Southampton did the entire 2024-25 campaign, and while the Saints may have been an anomaly of a season, Sunderland are well on their way to reaching the traditional points tally required to stay in the division.
As for Wolves, it's the complete opposite story.
They are still winless after eight games, and the pressure is starting to mount on Vitor Pereira.
Another Premier League weekend and another two goals for Erling Haaland.
Watching the Norwigan scoring goals has become so routine that it's easy to forget how astounding his numbers are.
He's already scored 11 goals in his first eight Premier League games, he's the fastest player to reach that milestone since...well...Erling Haaland in 2022-23 and 2024-25.
Yep, he's got so bored of breaking records he has to now just break his own, and it's those goals that are fuelling Manchester City's charge up the table.
The entertainment factor from the weekend came at Selhurst Park, and it's no great surprise given the form that both Crystal Palace and Bournemouth have been in.
The 3-3 thriller had a bit of everything and was evidence of why these two teams have been lauded so highly in these first few weeks of the season.
At one point, the Cherries were heading to the top of the league until Jean-Philippe Mateta completed his hat-trick, but if both continue to play at this level, then they'll both be eyeing up European spots come the end of the season.
