There is a reduced schedule of seven fixtures in the National League this Saturday as five fifth-tier teams compete in the FA Cup second round.
With Carlisle United in cup action, league leaders Rochdale will be aiming to stretch their lead at the top of the table. Jim McNulty's side comfortably defeated Eastleigh 2-0 last weekend and have two games in hand on the chasing pack.
As for Southend United, they fell to a late 2-1 loss to Forest Green Rovers despite leading at The New Lawn Stadium. The Shrimpers remain in the play-off places in seventh position, but have Hartlepool United breathing down their neck in solid form and only two points behind.
