Serie A team of the week - Milan's returning star grabs brace and Como man continues to shine

The Serie A returned after the international break and it provided some more twists and turns at the top of the table.

The Milan clubs were the big winners, taking advantage of major slips from the top two and Juventus , and it's now the tenants at the San Siro who lead the way.

But who made our  Serie A team of the week for Matchday seven? Ash Rose has been selecting his stars of the round, with Monday's clash between Cremonese and Udinese still to be played.

Zion Suzuki (Parma)

Parma were absolutely battered by Genoa at the weekend, but the home side couldn't find a way past Carlos Cuesta's team.

That was largely down to the performance of goalie Suzuki, who pulled off a string of saves to earn a vital point for his side. 

Francesco Acerbi (Inter)

The veteran centre-back showed no signs of slowing down and used all his experience to see off Roma's attack. 

Inter got their early goal and the backline, led by Acerbi, made sure of all three points at the Stadio Olimpico. 

Raul Albiol (Pisa)

Pisa may be rock bottom of the league and still looking for a first win of the season, but they earned a point in a goalless draw with Verona on Saturday. 

Their defence remained unblemished thanks to a standout performance at the back from their veteran Spanish defender, who's still showing his class at 40 years of age. 

Mario Gila (Lazio)  

Another defender who was at the heart of his side's clean sheet, as Lazio kept Atalanta at bay to earn a point against Ivan Juric's men. 

Atalanta remain the only unbeaten side in the league, but they were denied another win thanks to a man of the match display from Gila at centre-half. 

Robin Gosins (Fiorentina)

The German ended on the losing side in the end at the San Siro, but it wasn't for the want in trying to cause an upset. 

Playing at wing-back, Gosins kept Milan at bay whilst doing his defensive duties and was on hand to put his side into the lead, before their Rafael Leao-inspired comeback.

Nico Paz (Como) 

Another goal and an assist for the Argentine as Como defeated Juventus for the first time since 1952 in one of the weekend's biggest results. 

Paz now has four goals and four assists this season, making him the player with the most goal involvements in the entire league. 

Ylber Ramadani (Lecce)

Lecce grounded out a point against Sassuolo to make it three games unbeaten as they slowly pick up some form.

In the middle of the park, it was Ramadani who did all the dirty work and made sure that there was no way through for the away side. 

Nicolo Barella (Inter)

The classy midfielder was at his controlling best as Inter recorded a major win in Rome. 

Barella made sure that his team bossed the middle of the park and once they got that early goal, there was no way back for Roma.

Ange-yoan Bonny (Inter) 

The young Frenchman continued where he left off against Cremonese by scoring the decisive goal in the big game of the weekend.

It took just six minutes for Bonny to score the goal that saw off Roma, making it five goal contributions in just two games for the forward. 

Riccardo Orsolini (Bologna)

Bologna's solid start to the season continued with a 2-0 victory away at Cagliari and it was once again spearheaded by their Italian forward.

Orsolini's goal means he now leads the way outright at the top of the goalscoring charts, netting his fifth of the season in the victory. 

Rafael Leao (Milan)

Milan's concerns over the missing Christian Pulisic were wiped away by Leao, who stepped up to the plate on his first start of the season.

The Portuguese got the Rossoneri back into the game with an arrowing drive into the bottom corner, then coolly converted the penalty to win his side the game against Fiorentina.
