Juventus kicked off a new era under their new boss with a win on Saturday night and dropped points by leaders Napoli means the tussle at the top is now even tighter.Â
At the other end, pressure mounts on Fiorentina as they remain one of three sides STILL looking for a first win of the campaign.Â
With two games still to play on Monday, here are the big talking points from Serie A's Matchday 10 so far.Â
It was just the week that Juventus needed following the sacking of Igor Tudor after Matchday Nine.Â
In midweek, the team were let off their reins and won their first game in eight, scoring their first goals in four, as they beat Udinese before welcoming Luciano Spalletti to the club as the new man in charge.Â
His impact was instantly felt as Juve came through a tricky test at Cremonese to make it back-to-back wins and go within four points of leaders Napoli at the top of the Serie A table.
The former Italian boss showed much more fluidity in his formation and gave the team a new attacking edge by going with the combination of Lois Openda and Dusan Vlahovic up front.Â
It may be a first game for the former Italian boss, but Juventus are already looking like having more of a say in proceedings at the top end of the league than they did a week ago.
Â
Sunday's main course in Serie A came from the San Siro and two teams who were looking to send a title message, despite being two of the outsiders at the beginning of the season.Â
It was what was expected to be a cagey affair, and two teams that have been built on a defensively solid base, it took one goal to settle it, ironically from a defender.Â
Strahinja Pavlovic finished off an incredible solo run from Rafael Leao to score his first goal for the club and earn the Rossoneri all three points.Â
It's another positive result for Max Allgeri's side against a title rival, having already taken points off Napoli and Juventus this season.Â
At what point will Milan be taken seriously as the biggest threat to Napoli's crown?Â
After Igor Tudor got his marching orders last week and Patrick Vieira was shown the exit door by Genoa at the weekend, how long can it be before Stefano Pioli is the latest casualty in what's becoming sacking season?Â
Fiorentina were on the losing side once again on Sunday, as they were defeated at home by Lecce, a result which means they are still yet to taste victory in 2025-26.
That's now ten rounds for the side that finished in sixth last season, but Pioli has refused to resign from his post following a long conversation with directors after their latest defeat.
However, with the club linked with U20 boss Daniele Galloppa and Paolo Vanoli as short-term replacements, Pioli looks to be on borrowed time.Â
