Real Madrid C.F. goals: Jude Bellingham (35), Arda Guler (43), Federico Valverde (70)
CF Pachuca goal: Elias Montiel (80)
Real Madrid C.F. shrugged off having to play 83 minutes with ten men to produce their first win in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ with a classy triumph that ends CF Pachuca's hopes of reaching the Round of 16.
Xabi Alonso's side got off to a nightmare start when Raul Asencio - who gave away a penalty in their first game - was shown a straight red card in the seventh minute after tugging back Salomon Rondon, who was through on goal.
The Spanish giants then needed keeper Thibaut Courtois to save them when he made fine stops from both Alan Bautista and Kenedy.
But despite that one-man disadvantage, Madrid took the lead ten minutes before the break when Jude Bellingham stormed forward to collect a Fran Garcia pass, drove into the box and drilled home a precise left-foot finish.
Eight minutes later, they doubled that advantage with a fabulously worked goal when Gonzalo Garcia cushioned Trent Alexander-Arnold's cross for Arda Guler to easily score.
The Mexican side threw bodies up the park after the restart in a bid to salvage something, but they came up against an inspired Courtois, who made several more saves.
Their fate was sealed when Federico Valverde slid the ball home after getting on the end of Brahim Diaz's cross. Elias Montiel grabbed a deflected late consolation for Pachuca, but it wasn't enough to stop them sliding to defeat and crashing out of the tournament.
