Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has welcomed the major striking selection headache he faces heading into Sunday’s FIFA Club World Cup final.
The Blues will face Paris St-Germain or Real Madrid in the title decider where the winners can call themselves the best club side on the planet.
They progressed to the final after beating Brazilian side Fluminense 2-0 at MetLife Stadium with two stunning goals from Joao Pedro, who started the game in the absence of Liam Delap.
Delap was serving a one-game suspension against Fluminense but will come back into contention for a starting role at the weekend and Nicolas Jackson is also in contention.
“It’s a good thing for me and a good thing for any manager when you can decide and you know that they are all good,” Maresca told DAZN after the Fluminense victory.

“It’s a good feeling and we will see now. We have a little bit of time off now to rest and recover our energy.
“Wednesday is a day off and then we’re going to start to prepare for the final.”
Pedro was sunning himself on a beach last week before Chelsea signed him in a £60 million deal from Brighton and brought him Stateside.
“Probably also the good thing about Joao is that he was on holiday, so he arrived here a little bit more fresh than the rest,” added Maresca.
“That is something that we probably need to think about for the future in this kind of competition.
“But we knew already how good Joao was and today he was playing a little bit more deep.

“But we know how good he is at being able to drop, link, he’s very good technically in more space, so this is the reason why we decided to bring him here.”
Maresca is unfazed by the prospect of facing UEFA Champions League winners PSG or Spanish giants Madrid.
“I like both teams, they play good football” said the Chelsea boss, who admitted he is likely to watch Wednesday’s night semi-final in person at MetLife Stadium.
“Luis Enrique has had two seasons [at PSG] and Xabi Alonso has just arrived at Madrid but you can see the way they want to play.
“PSG won the Champions League this year, Real Madrid won it last season, so for sure we’re going to face a strong team.
“They’re both good, but we’re proud to already be there.”
