Thomas Tuchel pulled no punches when assessing the atmosphere at Wembley Stadium, with the England manager deriding the lack of energy from the stands of the famed London venue during the Three Lions' 3-0 victory over Wales on Thursday.
"The stadium was silent — we never got any energy back from the fans, and I think the players delivered a lot to get more from the fans," Tuchel told ITV after the friendly match.
Tuchel added that he felt England created the right conditions for a raucous crowd, especially with how the team jumped into a big lead in the early stages of the match, with all three goals scored inside the opening 20 minutes.
"What more can you give than 20 minutes, three goals, and the way we attack Wales and we didn't let them escape out of their own half?" he said, noting that he felt the visiting supporters made their voices heard despite the lopsided scoreline.
"If you then hear for half an hour just Wales fans, it's a bit sad because I think the team deserved big support today."
England will be on the road for their next match, a World Cup qualifier on Tuesday in Latvia, which can be seen live on DAZN in Canada.
