Amir Khan has labelled Conor Benn a 'brilliant fighter’ ahead of a potential showdown with the rising star in 2022. First up for Khan is a long-awaited showdown with Kell Brook next month and it’s possible that Benn will be in the frame to challenge the victor.
Khan, currently based in America as he prepares for his next battle, is an admirer of Benn and has not ruled out meeting the 25-year-old later this year. Benn has been in devastating form in recent fights and his performances have caught the attention of the 2004 Olympic silver medallist.
“I think he’s a brilliant fighter,” said Khan when speaking to Pro Boxing Fans.

“Obviously, we’re on a different path, but who knows? Anything can happen in the future. We’ve seen fights happen that we never ever expected.
“At the moment, my eyes are on Kell, making sure I get through this fight, but who knows in the future? A fight with Conor could happen or could not happen. It just depends how things play out.”
