Who better to accompany the GWOAT to the ring for her upcoming undisputed heavyweight title defence than one of hip hop’s larger than life artists?
Claressa Shields puts her undisputed crown on the line against Lani Daniels on Saturday in Detroit, live on DAZN. Walking her out to the ring at Little Caesars Arena will be multi-platinum recording artist Rick Ross, who announced the pre-fight plan on social media.
Ross boasts a career that spans nearly two decades, with hits like Hustlin’, The Boss and Aston Martin Music boosting the Miami rapper to the top of the industry, aided by collaborations like All I Do Is Win, Monster and I’m On One.
Accompanied by the six-time Grammy nominee, Shields aims to hold on to the undisputed title she unified by defeating Danielle Perkins earlier this year. Shields remains the only three-weight undisputed champion of the four-belt era, and she has held titles across five different weight classes.
