Oleskandr Usyk wants to face UFC champion before retirement
Unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk has given an insight into his future plans in boxing, and it may involve a fight against a current UFC champion.
Speaking during a media event in London, the Ukrainian revealed that he can see himself lacing up the gloves for two more fights before calling time on the sport of boxing.
Usyk is a pound-for-pound great and further cemented this status with two wins over Tyson Fury last year.
Now he has his sights set on becoming a two-time undisputed heavyweight champion by facing the winner of the February 22 IBF heavyweight title fight between Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker live on DAZN PPV.
Then, Usyk called for a meeting with UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira in an event he labelled a 'show fight'.
"First, it’s the winner of the fight on February 22," Usyk told TNT Sports about his future plans.
"Then next, maybe a show fight with Alex Pereira, maybe, why not."
Pereira is one of the UFC's premier stars and is set to make the latest defence of his UFC light heavyweight title against Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 313 on March 9.
