Both women are undefeated going into this fight, therefore someone's '0' has to go in Sydney.
Featherweight champion Nicolson, 12-0 (1 KO), comes into this one off the back of her historic fight in Riyadh, where she defeated British boxer Raven Chapman by unanimous decision.
Having fought her last seven bouts aboard, three of which were in the US, the 29-year-old finally returns to her home country.
Brown, 18-0 (11 KO's), has won her last two fights by unanimous decision, seeing off Calista Silgado and Gabriela Bouvier. The 36-year-old will be in sharp form, having taken on Silgado in January this year.
