The UFC is hosting it's first pay-per-view event of the year live from Los Angeles, CA on Saturday, Jan. 18. The card is headlined by two title fights, one in the lightweight division where a longstanding champion looks to defend yet again and the other in the bantamweight division where a new champion looks to prove he's more than just a one-hit wonder.
Islam Makhachev takes on Arman Tsarukyan for his fourth title defense. He's coming off of back-to-back wins over Alexander Volkanovski and a submission of Dustin Poirier. Tsarukyan will be fighting for the title for the first time in his UFC career and earned his spot after four wins in a row, including a first-round finish of Beneil Dariush and a split decision win over the former champion, Charles Oliveira.
In the co-main event, Makhachev's teammate Umar Nurmagomedov puts his undefeated win streak on the line when he attempts his first try for the 135-pound title. Looking to keep the belt securely around his waist is Merab Dvalishvili, who is widely considered one of the best wrestlers with the best stamina in the UFC.

The biggest favorite on the card is Payton Talbott who currently sits at a -1200 favorite over Raoni Barcelos. Talbott has been a shining star since signing with the UFC and the young prospect is paired with an aging veteran so it's no shock to see the odds stacked the way they are.
