Tyron Woodley knows what it feels like to experience the power of Jake Paul after facing the popular YouTuber on two occasions.
The former UFC champion made the switch to boxing in 2021 following a lengthy and successful run in MMA, but he was unable to make a dent in Paul and was beaten on the scorecards.
On December 19, in one of the most intriguing encounters of the year, Paul will jump up to heavyweight to face former world champion, Anthony Joshua.
Paul had originally been scheduled to face Gervonta Davis, but when that fight was postponed, Joshua stepped in.
The British star, one of boxing’s biggest punchers, starts the contest against Paul a massive favourite, but Woodley does not see the outcome as a foregone conclusion.
"I don't think this fight is even. I think that Anthony Joshua is a better boxer. I think he has more power, but I don't think there's no chance Jake can win," said Woodley when speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show.
"I feel like if Anthony doesn't stop him in the first two rounds, I feel like he's going to give Jake confidence, and I think it's going to be a decision.
"I'm going to be real. He's a great boxer. He's got good power. He was always like the little point guard that was a heavyweight. I don't know why Jake wanted that fight. I don't know what's going through his head, but he's always got something up his sleeve."
