A pair of sides who fancy themselves title contenders meet on Sunday as Arsenal welcome Manchester City to the Emirates.
The Gunners enter the weekend in a familiar position behind league-leading Liverpool, the only team that has taken points off them so far this season. Other than the loss to Liverpool, the Gunners have been perfect through the early stages of the league campaign, once again relying on a stauch defensive solidity to stifle opponents while also scoring in bunches themselves.
They face a Man City side who have lost as much as they've won so far, with their uneven form placing them eighth in the standings ahead of the weekend's matches.

"There will be moments. It has been in the past as well, in the last few years. They have changed quite a bit, especially in the backline and they recruited Erling [Haaland] as well. We’ve modified a few things because of the quality of the midfield, which is normal, and there is a tendency in football, especially because of the way teams are defending. But it has certain implications for how teams react to them."
Pep Guardiola, Manchester City

“Step by step, window by window, Arsenal is getting better. Last season in Europe they make an incredible step forward. For me it is the most solid team, they don’t make mistakes, it’s an incredibly solid team."
The Gunners are the more consistent side over the past 18 months, and they have won the last two meetings between these teams at the Emirates. I don't have reason to believe that will change this weekend.
Prediction: Arsenal 2-1 Manchester City
