Real Madrid are into the final four of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup after defeating Borussia Dortmund in a quarter-final that featured a wild ending, and once again Jude Bellingham was a key part of the team's success with 67 minutes of action in Saturday's match.

The 22-year-old has quickly become a leader on the most decorated club in European football, and although he is happy with Real Madrid's progress through the tournament, Bellingham remains unsatisfied.

Los Blancos are coming off a season in which they came up short of glory on several different fronts, as they finished runners-up to rivals Barcelona in La Liga and in the Copa del Rey, and they were eliminated from the Champions League in the quarter-finals. Real Madrid did claim some silverware however, winning the FIFA Intercontinental Cup and the UEFA Super Cup, but it was not enough for Bellingham.

The England international explained that Real Madrid are looking at this summer's competition as an opportunity at redemption after faltering on the domestic front and in the Champions League, where the club remain the winningest side in history.

As such, winning the Club World Cup is of paramount importance, he said.

"It’s crucial [for us to succeed] because it was a poor season for us; we won some titles, but not the ones Real Madrid demands," Bellingham said. "This presents a significant opportunity to secure another trophy."

Real Madrid will face a stern challenge in the semi-finals when they face current Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain. Should they topple the Parisians, they'd go on to the final, where they'd take on either Chelsea or Fluminense
