WWE might be gearing up for their biggest show of the year next week, as Las Vegas gets ready for WrestleMania, but they could be about to lose yet another one of their biggest stars to the film world.
In recent years, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, John Cena, and Dave Bautista have also successfully transitioned their talents from a WWE ring into Hollywood, making themselves household names.
Now it seems like current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes could also be tempted to explore that avenue by becoming the next wrestler turned movie star.
Speaking on the latest episode of the Pardon My Take Podcast, the American Nightmare, who already has some acting experience from his role in superhero drama Arrow as well as a cameo in the upcoming Naked Gun reboot, admits he'd love to see what he can do on the big screen.
He said, "I’d love to get out there, there’s some fun projects coming up.
"I’d love to get out there and tell stories that way for sure and grow. I love pro wrestling, I always will.
"To get out there, I love what Rock has done, I love what John has done, and Dave Bautista as well.
"All of them have gone different routes when approaching Hollywood and I think I might be next to join the fray in all that."
Before he can think about his Hollywood career, Rhodes has a huge defence of his title at next weekend's WrestleMania. He'll headline the show for the third year running when he puts his championship on the line against John Cena in the main event of night two.
