Having come through the Atlético de Madrid youth system, Tote ended up making his debut with a Real Madrid team packed with Galacticos at just 20 years old. Benfica, Málaga, Valladolid, and Betis are the teams he has played for, but he didn't enjoy any of them as much as he did during his final spell as a player at Hércules, where he was, and remains, much loved.
