The Philadelphia Eagles are sitting pretty at 7–2, but their record disguises cracks — and one of them runs straight through A.J. Brown, the three-time Pro Bowl receiver who has doubled down on comments he made earlier in the season, criticising his role in Philadelphia's offense.
If his previous complaint could be described as slightly cryptic, there was no ambiguity this time. It was just Brown, with no PR polish, letting loose in the most unfiltered manner.
While playing a game of Madden with streamer JankyRondo, Brown - who wasn’t pictured in the video but later confirmed it was him - responded to the question, "Everything been good? Everything been straight? Mental good? Kids good?" with an eye-opening response.
"I mean, no," Brown said with a laugh. "Where have you been? Family good? Yeah. Everything else? No. It's been a s---show."
The 28-year-old made it clear he was talking about football matters, adding, "If you got me on fantasy, man, get rid of me."

Unsurprisingly, social media blew up, and that furore gathered even more steam when, asked by reporters post-practice about his comments, Brown refused to stand down.
"It's the same things I've been saying all season. So, me making light of my situation on Twitch with my friend, that's something I'm not apologising for."
Brown elaborated further, his comments punctuated with a mix of mirth and seriousness.
"It's not that I was throwing anybody under the bus. I'm literally trying to laugh through this s---. This s--- is tough. But I'm trying to make fun of the situation and to try to get through it. It is what it is."
In 2025, the Eagles have passed the ball only 51% of the time. Only the Seattle Seahawks and Buffalo Bills rank lower in that regard.
That figure is eight points higher than it was in the Super Bowl–winning campaign of 2024, three points lower than it was in 2023, and one point lower than 2022 - Brown's first year with the team.
Between 2022 and 2024, Brown averaged 8.5 targets, 85.7 yards, and 0.53 touchdowns per game.
In 2025, he's averaging 6.75 targets, 51 yards, and 0.38 touchdowns per game.
The numbers don't lie, and Brown’s latest comments followed a game against the Packers where he caught only two of three targets for 13 yards, finishing behind DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, Saquon Barkley, and backup tailback Will Shipley in receiving yards.
It could be argued that, with a 7-2 record, the Eagles' run-first mentality is working - to a point. But Brown sees it differently.
Philadelphia head coach Nick Sirianni was clearly frustrated with being asked to respond to Brown's comments.
"I'm close to being done answering these questions with this," he told ESPN. "He's working hard, and he is a big part of this game plan, and he'll be a big part of the game plan going forward.
"He's working like crazy when he's here, and I'm excited to have him."
Whether Sirianni's comment smoothed over the situation in Brown's mind remains to be seen.
The Eagles still think they’re built for another deep run, and they might be right. They're winning despite not being perfect, as all the best teams do.
However, team cohesion is essential, and with teams keying in on stopping Barkley - Sirianni, Jalen Hurts, and Co. are aware that they need their best receiver to buy into the team's plans.
After all, Brown is undoubtedly a game-changing talent when at his best.
Quarterback Jalen Hurts perhaps said it best. "I know he's [Brown] talked about having a growth mindset and embracing that, so we just need that mentality as we go throughout this season and try to get to where we're trying to go."
There’s plenty of time to course-correct, but the Eagles must find a way to balance getting Brown involved and doing what is best for the team.
If they can find a way to do both, another Vince Lombardi Trophy is well within their reach.
