Super Bowl LIX is just four days away, as the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles undergo their final preparations for Sunday night’s clash in New Orleans.
The bookmakers are expecting a close encounter, with head coaches Andy Reid and Nick Sirianni desperately trying to find any edge they can in the Big Easy.
Injuries and absentees can often play a huge role when it comes to determining the winner in a tight encounter like the one everyone is expecting this weekend and while neither side appear to be dealing with many major issues on that front, the Eagles have been handed a late scare in the build-up to the big game.
Second-year defensive tackle Jalen Carter has emerged as one of the best defensive players in the NFL this season, but he had to withdraw from media commitments on Wednesday due to illness, according to the NFL Network.

The team would later release their injury report, with Carter listed as a limited participant in their latest practice session, which will hopefully dimiss any Philly fears that the young leader of their defensive front will be forced to miss the game.
Eagles boss Sirianni will have been relieved to see that no players missed this latest practice outright, with DeVonta Smith (hamstring), Kenny Gainwell (concussion/knee), and Brandon Graham (elbow) also listed as limited.
That comes after the likes of Zack Baun (groin), Britain Covey (neck), Dallas Goedert (ankle), C.J. Uzomah (abdomen), Landon Dickerson (knee), and Cam Jurgens (back), who had been listed on the previous injury report, were all full participants and look see to play on Sunday evening as the Eagles look to land their second-ever Vince Lombardi Trophy.
