It will be 11 months since he last fought, but WBC middleweight champion Carlos Adames returns to action on the undercard of Teofimo Lopez vs. Shakur Stevenson, live and exclusive on DAZN PPV. 

Adames' latest title defence is against America's Austin Williams, who since losing to Hamzah Sheeraz in June 2024, has put together a three-fight winning streak.

Adames vs. Williams will take place on Saturday, January 31 at Madison Square Garden, New York with the whole card set to be shown live on DAZN.

DAZN's coverage will begin at 6pm local time with Adames and Williams ringwalks scheduled for 7.45pm ET. These timings are subject to change.

The fight is set to be held at Madison Square Garden, in New York City.

Adames fought just once in 2025 with a hard fought draw against Hamzah Sheeraz in Riyadh. 

His opponent Williams on the other hand got two wins under his belt last year, a points win over Patrice Volny in March, and followed this up four months later with a knockout against Ivan Vazquez.
