Anthony Joshua's speculated bout in Africa has attracted the hopes of a local star, with Kingsley Ibeh keen to face the Briton.
The two-time heavyweight world champion has been mooted for a comeback in either Ghana or Nigeria in the next few months.
Ibeh, born in Nigeria and now based in Arizona, has established himself as a sturdy operator, with a 16-2-1 record to his name.
A knockout victory over ex-title challenger Gerald Washington inside three rounds recently further burnished his rising profile.
Now, Ibeh has thrown his name into the ring for a chance to fight Joshua, as he seeks to make it a dozen straight victories.
"We need the right platform and the right opponent to make a statement with and there'd be no better one than AJ," he told Sky Sports.
"[To fight in Nigeria,] that would be definitely a dream come true. That would be amazing. [But] it doesn't matter where it is, I'm ready.
"Anywhere. It doesn't matter if it's in the UK. I would love to dance with him in The O2. I would definitely stop him, no questions about that.
"It's going to come down to how soon or how quickly it goes. I'm just excited to see what the future holds.
"I really haven't even shown what we've been working on. [But] I'm willing to come to their home, their backyard, and entertain.
"I like AJ, he's been my idol. [But] I have mean intentions. For the sport, I would love to give him the work and challenge that he's looking for."
