Frank Warren is as confident as he’s ever been that Tyson Fury will knock out Anthony Joshua.
After watching ‘AJ’ struggle to catch up with Jake Paul before stopping him in the sixth round of their bizarre heavyweight contest in Miami earlier this month, Warren is convinced Fury will have too much for the Watford man.
Joshua is set to fight again early next year with Fury rumoured to be coming out of retirement for a tune-up bout at around the same time, before they will reportedly take each other on in a long-awaited blockbuster later in 2026.
Warren doesn’t just think his man will win if a fight between the British superstars finally happens, but he believes he will do so in emphatic fashion.
“Tyson will knock him out,” Warren said during an appearance on Sky Sports’ Toe2Toe podcast.
“I know he'll knock him out. I’ll base it on the fact that he's a big puncher. I'll base it on the fact that AJ is not hard to hit and that he's in with a boxer. He's in with a fighter, a proper fighter.
“A big fighter who's got a big punch, and who also has got a big chin. Tyson's got good recovery.
“You've seen it yourself. He’s been on the floor and when you think it's all over, he's got up and come back and won fights. He's done that.”
Joshua’s fight with Paul was his first since he was stopped in five rounds by Daniel Dubois in September 2024 and Warren expects Fury to repeat the dose if they do finally meet.
“AJ's vulnerable. I feel as confident about him fighting AJ as I did when Daniel Dubois fought him.”
