Canelo Alvarez vs William Scull: Who is fighting on the undercard tonight?

DAZN
Watch Canelo vs Scull live tonight on DAZN PPV

Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez will look to reclaim his throne as undisputed super-middleweight champion when he takes on William Scull tonight, Saturday, May 3, live on DAZN Pay-Per-View.

The Mexican superstar will cross paths with the Cuban, who inherited his IBF title after he was forced to vacate it in favour of a bout with Edgar Berlanga last September.

Canelo effectively veered Scull at the time, avoiding the mandatory challenger bout, but retained his other major titles in the division with the WBA, WBC and WBO belts.

Now, he has the opportunity to add the fourth and final piece back into his crown, and reaffirm his status as one of the century's greatest pound-for-pound superstar fighters.

But just what is the undercard for Canelo Alvarez vs. William Scull?  DAZN News  has everything that you need to know ahead of what promises to be a thrilling fight night.

Where is the Canelo Alvarez vs William Scull fight?

The fight is set to be held at  ANB Arena , in Riyadh , Saudi Arabia

The venue, a multi-purpose event space for sports, concerts, conferences and more, might not be as familiar to fight fans as some other Riyadh Season venues.

But its cutting-edge design and conception ensures it will be a memorable occasion when it plays host to Canelo's first fight in the country this May.

Canelo Alvarez vs William Scull form and history

Canelo Alvarez and William Scull both arrive at this bout knowing their legacies could well be shaped by the result of an undisputed super middleweight title clash.

The former has just two professional losses across a lengthy career, against a peak-era Floyd Mayweather Jr., and then against Dmitry Bivol when he vaulted the divisions.

That speaks to his dominance across multiple other classes, but there are suggestions several of his recent bouts have been on the softer side of opposition he has faced.

Cuban Scull arguably represents the toughest bout since he faced Bivol, and the former will be keen to ensure his own place in history is assured at this shot for the crown.

Undefeated himself in the ring, the star will hope he can take advantage of unfamiliar Middle East territory for both too as they step away from the Las Vegas showground.
