Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez is back, little over two months since his last successful outing.
Mexico's Alvarez added another weight class to his impressive resume of world championships when he dethroned WBA (Super) and The Ring super-middleweight champion Callum Smith just before Christmas in a contest that was also for the vacant WBC 168lb belt.
And Canelo is planning a busy 2021 as he bids to become undisputed super-middle champion. However first he must get past the mandatory challenge of Turkey's Yildirim.
The defending champion is the heavy favourite for the fight, but must be wary of a potential banana skin if he does not give Yildirim his full, undivided attention. An upset loss would scupper his entire unification quest, and likely lead to him being overtaken in the pound-for-pound power rankings of the major media outlets.
Here's everything you need to know about Canelo Alvarez vs. Avni Yildirim.
