Conor Benn reveals his plans following Chris Eubank Jr. rematch

Eubank Jr. vs Benn 2 - only on DAZN PPV - Saturday

Conor Benn entered the ring for Wednesday's Open Workouts a jubilant figure as he danced and flexed for the cameras.

Benn is days away from squaring off with longtime rival Chris Eubank Jr. in a rematch of April's epic bout, which ended with Eubank claiming a unanimous decision victory.

On Saturday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Benn will get the chance to avenge the loss to his foe, but the 29-year-old couldn't help but also look past the rivalry that has dominated his professional life over the past few years.

Benn, normally a welterweight, moved up two divisions to take on Eubank, and the pair will once again fight at 160 lbs this weekend.

However, like his famous father Nigel Benn alluded to earlier this week, Saturday's fight will be the last at middleweight for Benn for the foreseeable future.

He's got his eyes on a different goal than continuing his feud with Eubank.

"This is my last fight up at 160 and then I just can't wait to be done with this," Benn said on the DAZN broadcast of the open workouts. "I can't wait for this to be done. I'll never have to see his face ever again, never have to hear him again.

"I can drop back down to 147 and pursue the goal me and my trainer and my team set out to achieve, and that was winning the world [welterweight] title."

Benn further explained that while a trilogy bout with Eubank would be lucrative, his priorities haven't changed since he became a professional boxer.

To Benn, Saturday's fight serves as a good ending point for his feud with Eubank, after which he'll go back to pursuing his original goals while he still can.

"You sit there and you go, 'I delivered for the two fights [against Eubank].' The big fights don't really happen these days because of the fighters, the promotional contracts — they don't deliver, they don't happen," Benn said.

"I'm sitting now going, 'I'm set for life. Could I fight again, do the trilogy for greed? Or could I fight for the world title?' And I sit down and I go, 'I don't think I can live with myself if I pass up on the world title.' I can't make 147 forever and me spending another six months at 160, you can say goodbye to your 147 dreams."
