Boxing broke new ground on Friday night with The Ring Magazine staging a fight card in the middle of New York's Times Square.
Over 400,000 people witnessed the event with three of American boxing's biggest stars, WBO superlightweight champion Teofimo Lopez, Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia taking part.
Much of the fallout has come from the main event where Garcia took on Rolando 'Rolly' Romero, and it was the latter who produced the upset.
With a knockdown in round two, Romero went on to win the contest by unanimous decision and has scuppered any plans for a Garcia rematch with Devin Haney later this year.
A number of names were ringside to witness Garcia's second professional defeat, including Lopez, Haney and Conor Benn who gave the following reactions after the fight.
Speaking to Boxing Social, Lopez, who successfully defended his WBO 140lb belt against Arnold Barboza Jr, had plenty of praise for Romero.
"I’m very happy for ‘Rolly’, sad for Ryan Garcia, but don’t overlook anybody," Lopez said.
"I think ‘Rolly’ had a good gameplan, he listened to his team very well, before he went to the event, my father told to keep his right hand up all night and you’ll win the fight.
"He looked great."
Haney's reaction came immediately after the decision was declared in Garcia's fight and he had one simple question, "What happened?"
In the build-up to fight night, Benn had been teasing a possible fight with Garcia if a rematch with Chris Eubank Jr could not be made.
After watching Garcia's loss, Benn gave his verdict to iFL TV.
"It was a very disappointing performance, it was terrible," Benn said.
Then when asked whether he was still interested in facing Garcia, Benn gave the following response, "Definitely not, not interested."
