Dave Allen's next opponent prepares for fight by wrestling dangerous animal

Training camps are getting underway for Dave Allen and the fearsome Arslanbek Makhmudov who meet on October 11.

Taking place at the Utilita Arena in Sheffield, live on DAZN, Allen is set for the toughest fight of his revived career after knocking out Johnny Fisher earlier this year.

Makhmudov has quickly gained a reputation for being a scary character inside and outside of the ring, and in a recent Instagram post by Matchroom, the 36-year-old is shown to be wrestling a bear in the wild, which is not exactly an everyday activity a professional boxer will participate in.

Makhmudov's time inside the ring as of late has been a mixed one.

After suffering his first professional loss to Agit Kabayel in 2023, he bounced back with a second knockout win against Miljan Rovcanin five months later.

This winning feeling was short-lived as he was stopped by Guido Vianello in August 2024, which was followed up by a win over Ricardo Brown two months ago.

Allen will be another tough test for Makhmudov who will encounter a hostile atmosphere in the Steel City, but the latter will be eager to spoil what is an eagerly awaited homecoming for 'White Rhino'.
