Derek Chisora continued his incredible run as he registered an impressive win over Otto Wallin in front of a boisterous crowd at Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena .
Very much in the final stages of his career, Chisora’s long goodbye is now approaching fight 50 and he has made it clear who he would like to take on next.
Chisora entered the bout against Wallin a significant underdog, but it was clear early on that he was the fighter who was very much on the front foot.
In typical Chisora fashion, the London veteran walked Wallin down and he was able to hit the target whenever he got close.
Wallin, who has previously faced elite opposition in Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua , struggled to cope with Chisora’s industry and his task was made even harder when he was dropped in round nine.
The Swede would also go down at the end of round 12, but he was saved by the bell that signaled the end of the contest.
Chisora was handed the fight by all three judges although he did require the knockdowns to win on one scorecard which did draw some criticism.
After the fight, Chisora made it clear that he wanted a significant test for his half century as he targeted showdowns with Joshua, Oleksandr Usyk, and Daniel Dubois.
Frank Warren, Chisora’s promoter, has stated that he will try to deliver for his fighter so it is possible that will see Chisora in a huge contest later this year.
