The next opponent of Anthony Joshua is still unknown but the winner of a nig fight next week could be that person.
On June 1, Filip Hrgovic and Daniel Dubois will collide in a huge heavyweight encounter and Eddie Hearn has stated that the victor could face Joshua.
Joshua is currently on an impressive run since losing to Oleksandr Usyk in 2022, and he’s eager to become world champion for a third time.
If Usyk is forced to give up one of his titles, Joshua will be ready to fight and that could mean a showdown against either Hrgovic or Dubois.
“Yeah, absolutely the winner of Dubois against Hrgovic is the definite frontrunner to fight Anthony Joshua next,” said Hearn when speaking to Boxing Social at the Josh Taylor vs. Jack Catterall press conference.
“But honestly anything can happen.”
