The promoter has big plans for his fighter.

Promoter Eddie Hearn is hoping to line up another major fight for Anthony Joshua later this year.

The two-time world heavyweight champion is back to his best following a dominant stoppage win over Otto Wallin in December, and then a second round knockout victory against Francis Ngannou last month.

Joshua is in a prime position to challenge for a world title and he will have a keen eye on the undisputed heavyweight title showdown between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk on May 18 live on DAZN PPV with hopes of facing the winner.

It is rumoured that Joshua could return to the ring in September with Turki Alalshikh planning a Riyadh Season event for London in September, and Hearn named two potential opponents which could be in the opposite corner if these plans become a reality.

"Obviously the one that carries the belt, I’d love to see him become world heavyweight champion again," Hearn told Boxing News when asked about who Joshua could face next.

"But I’d also like to make the Wilder fight, so if he beats Zhang, the world are going to be calling for that one as well.

"If Fury wins, the world will be calling for that one, so he’s in a brilliant position AJ, and we’re confident that he beats them all."

Deontay Wilder is back in action on June 1 when he goes head-to-head with the dangerous Zhilei Zhang on the Queensberry vs. Matchroom card, and both men will be going into this contest on the back of recent losses to former WBO world heavyweight champion Joseph Parker.
