Exclusive: Daniel Dubois trainer sets huge target for IBF champion and whole heavyweight division

Dubois vs Parker Feb 22 live on DAZN PPV - BUY NOW

Kieran Farrell has played a huge role in the redevelopment of Daniel Dubois, but he still believes there are bigger things to come from the current IBF heavyweight champion.

Since losing to Oleksandr Usyk in 2023, Dubois has put together an incredible stoppage streak that has seen him register several impressive wins.

The most recent of those victories came last September when Dubois, against all odds, recorded the biggest success of his career by dropping Anthony Joshua four times including a fifth-round knockout

His reward for the Joshua win is a showdown with Joseph Parker and it will be staged on one of the biggest shows ever which can be seen this Saturday, live on DAZN PPV

Dubois, now one of the heavyweight division's best fighters, is eager to settle the score with Usyk and a future battle with his former nemesis for all four heavyweight belts could be his if he can get past Parker.

With the heavyweight landscape expected to undergo a radical change in the next year or so with numerous veterans moving on and Tyson Fury already seemingly retired, the opportunity could be there for Dubois to rule for many years.

But even with Fury, Usyk, and Joshua all staying around longer than anticipated, Farrell is firmly of the belief that his fighter would still have the ability to defeat them all and sit on top anyway.

“Whether Usyk or Fury stay in boxing or retire, the pathway has always been there for Daniel to rule the heavyweight division,” said the former fighter when speaking exclusively to DAZN News in Saudi Arabia.

“Daniel has just got to keep being Daniel and he needs to do it. Keep putting these fighters in front of us and we’ve just got to keep beating them. That’s what we want to do.”
