Meatball Molly McCann continues smooth transition to boxing as she wins second pro fight after inflicting gruesome cut

Molly McCann made it two wins from two fights as she remained unbeaten with a convincing points win against Ebonie Cotton. 

The Liverpool fighter, still a boxing novice, was in control for large portions of the contest, and after Cotton suffered an awful cut in round four, McCann piled on more pressure to put the result beyond doubt. 

Cotton, who made a confident ringwalk, began well and had some decent success, but once McCann figured her out, she was able to put together the more eye-catching shots after using her jab to great effect. 

After six rounds, McCann was handed the verdict by the referee, who scored the fight 58-56 for McCann, although that looked a lot closer than what the fight really was. 
 
The former UFC superstar made the switch to boxing earlier this year and enjoyed a great debut when stopping Kate Radomska in September. 

After a successful run in MMA, McCann is targeting further glory inside the boxing ring and has made it clear that she wants to be competing for world titles sooner rather than later. 

McCann is building great momentum, and her popularity from the MMA world could see her become a big name in women's boxing over the next few years. 

Several major fights could be in the pipeline for her next year, including contests against the likes of Skye Nicolson and Tiah Mai Ayton, but McCann needs to focus on her immediate future and keep impressing as she moves towards bigger opportunities.
