Former world champion Ebanie Bridges has become the latest high-profile female boxer to sign with Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions.

Bridges, 11-2 (4), won the IBF bantamweight title in March 2022, but has not fought since losing her belt to Miyo Yoshida in December 2023.

She gave birth to her first child, whom she shares with fellow ex-world champion Kell Brook, in February, and the 38-year-old Australian, now fighting out of Sheffield, is hoping to resurrect her career under the guidance of Paul.

Bridges, who is targeting a comeback fight before the end of 2025, told ESPN: “MVP has always been attractive to me and I love what Jake Paul has done with Amanda Serrano and women’s boxing. I’m excited to work with a promoter who knows I can work as a team to promote me, rather than feeling like I’m doing all the heavy lifting with my own self-promotions and marketing.”

Paul and MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian added: “Ebanie Bridges is a star in every sense of the word. She’s a world champion, a proven ticket seller, and a force of personality who brings new audiences into boxing.”

Paul has set his sights on promoting women’s boxing in recent years alongside building his own career inside the ring.

He is promoting Amanda Serrano for her trilogy bout with Katie Taylor on Friday night, while he is also representing Alycia Baumgardner and British duo Savannah Marshall and Ellie Scotney who will be appearing on the undercard.

The female-only event will see 16 female fighters facing one another on what promises to be a historic night at Madison Square Garden.

Bridges will not be involved, but she is now closing in on a return after joining Paul’s ever-expanding stable of female fighters.

She has over 800,000 followers on Instagram and has also set up her own OnlyFans account, but has turned to Paul to get her boxing career back on track as she bids to return to the biggest stage.
