Uisma Lima is ready to unleash 'the real monster' when he steps into the ring this evening against Jaron 'Boots' Ennis.
The Angolan takes on the former unified welterweight champion in Philadelphia, live on DAZN, with Ennis making a long-awaited debut at super welterweight.
Ennis is heavily linked to an all-American showdown with Vergil Ortiz Jr. next year, therefore, he needs to pass his first super welterweight fight with flying colours to make the contest a reality.
Lima will be an unknown name to many boxing fans, but he is ready to derail the career of Ennis who is considered to be one of the best pound-for-pound fighters.
With a 14-1 (10 KOs) professional record and willingness to be the 'away' fighter, Lima is confident he will not be affected by the pro-Ennis crowd which will pack out the Xfinity Mobile Arena.
Speaking to iFL TV on Friday, Lima had a message for Ennis' promoter Eddie Hearn who in the build-up has respected the dangers which the 32-year-old could pose.
"Eddie, tomorrow in the ring, you’ll see the real monster," Lima said.
"If you like it, talk to me and give me more fights because I deserve it."
It should be no surprise that Ennis is the favourite to triumph, but Lima then made no secret that he sees flaws in 'Boots' which he will look to exploit come fight night.
"I see a human like me, he’s a good fighter, I’m a good fighter too, I see flaws in Boots."
Ennis vs. Lima is live on DAZN this Saturday night, October 11. Watch the fight and whole card with a DAZN subscription.
