<p>As their fight went on, the WBA featherweight world champion overwhelmed Doheny with increasing pressure, forcing the referee to stop the bout at the end of a dominating 10th round at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, England on Saturday, and <a href="https://www.dazn.com/en-US/home"> live on DAZN</a>.</p>

<p>From the sixth round, Ball decided to switch gears and fight forward with relentless pressure, nearly rocking Doheny at will with constant output which continued toward the lopsided victory.</p>

Ball simply overwhelmed Doheny in the 10th, forcing the referee to end it after the round, giving the champion his second WBA featherweight world title defense.

With relentless pressure, Ball is firing and landing shots at will! Doheny is trying his best but Ball is all over him with lunging output. Doheny is in rough shape, tired and breathing from his mouth. The ref was taking a close look the entire round and Doheny's corner should seriously consider ending it. (10-9 Ball, 97-92 Ball)

Ball, giving chase, pieces together a few shots before tossing Doheny to the mat. The referee penalizes a point from Ball for doing that. But Ball goes back to work, letting his hands fly and catching the gutsy challenger whose right eye does not look good. (9-9, 87-83 Ball)

Ball, pressuring, lands shots in succession only for Doheny to counter and remind the champ that he is going to be a tough out. Ball, undeterred, presses on. Doheny has swelling on his right eye. (10-9 Ball, 78-74 Ball)

Ball's motor is revving and the champ's youth is giving Doheny problems as the challenger looks a bit tired in there due to all this pressure he is dealing with. Another round for Ball who is taking control. (10-9 Ball, 68-65 Ball)

Ball has his best round yet, rocking the challenger with a few shots including two separate left-right combinations — the last one stiffening the legs of Doheny. (10-9 Ball, 58-56 Ball)

Doheny is doing a great job at slowing down the pace slightly and peppering the champ with pointed shots. (10-9 Doheny, 48-47 Ball)

Ball continues to pressure though Doheny is doing a good job of standing his ground and fighting back. Doheny is countering well this round. (10-9 Doheny, 39-37 Ball)

Ball continues to pressure Doheny, diversifying his shot selection to the head and body of the challenger. A decent combination lands for Doheny but Ball is back to fighting forward. An uppercut from the champ finds its mark. And a big overhand left clips Doheny on the head at the bell. (10-9 Ball, 30-27 Ball)

The ref warns the fighters about keeping it clean as their grudge from Friday's weigh-in has carried over. Ball comes out lunging forward, applying pressure. A compact left catches an off-balance Doheny. Ball is already giving chase around the ring. (10-9 Ball, 20-18 Ball)

A bit of controversy at the end of the round as Doheny has the champ in the clinch and Ball responds by kneeing the Irish fighter in the back of the leg, causing him to crumble to the canvas.
