Usyk vs Dubois 2: Former world champion picks preferred opponent amid 'no names' admission
Joseph Parker would pick Oleksandr Usyk over Daniel Dubois to face next between the duo, with the New Zealander admitting he has been given "no names" for his next fight.
The Ukrainian and the Briton meet this Saturday at Wembley Stadium in an undisputed heavyweight title clash, two years on from their first encounter, live on DAZN Pay-Per-View.
Parker could well have been the man in the ring this weekend if he had defeated Dubois in February for his IBF title, but saw the fight scotched days before after the latter fell ill.
Since dispatching replacement Martin Bakole inside two rounds , the former WBO strap holder has not fought, though bouts with Derek Chisora and Dave Allen have been mooted.
Speaking on DAZN's broadcast of the Usyk-Dubois 2 press conference on Thursday, the New Zealander stressed he would be more than happy to take on either man in the ring
"It would be nice to be in the mix," he said. "I would like to test myself against both of those, and I think they're both great champions. But if I had to pick one, it would be Usyk.
"He's beaten everyone and he's been able to show everyone how good he is. I've said it before, if I could fight three or four times in a year, I would. I'd love to.
"But I've been given no fights, no names. They've mentioned Chisora, they've mentioned Dave Allen. I want to fight as soon as I can, and anyone."
Parker further weighed in on Dubois against the fighter who lost to Usyk in 2023, adding: "The fights he's had under his belt, he'll only have gained more confidence in himself.
"I know there is a lot of talk about this new Dubois, and the confidence that he's been showing in his fights. But Usyk is a special fighter.
"The thing with Daniel Dubois is that he's going to have to come up with something more. Physically, he's in great shape, and he punches with a lot of power. But it's uphill for him."
