Twenty-four teams compete in the 2025-26 National League, with each team playing against the others home and away across a 46-game season.
Teams this season include Carlisle United who were relegated from EFL League Two last season and Southend who lost in the play-off final.
Barnet won the National League last season, which saw them promoted back to the EFL and into League Two for the 2025-26 season. Oldham Athletic won the play-offs to also go up.
One of the most famous title winners in recent times is Wrexham. The Welsh club, owned by actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, won the 22/23 title, being chased all the way by Notts County in an epic promotion race, with both recording record points totals. County did eventually also go up via the play-offs.
Stockport County, Sutton United, Barrow and Leyton Orient have also won the National League in the last five years.
