Inter Miami have progressed into the knockout stages of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup , set to face Paris Saint-Germain in their Round of 16 fixture on Sunday, June 29 .
Progressing as runners-up in their group has not just moved them a step closer to being crowned Club World Cup champions, but has also help swell the MLS side's bank balance.
Inter Miami were awarded $9.55m / £7.12m for just competing in the competition.
Winning a group stage match was worth $2m / £1.4m, and a draw was $1m / £746k. Miami won one and drew two in Group A, meaning $4m in prize money.
For reaching the quarter-finals Javier Mascherano's side then received an extra $7.5m / £5.5m.
Therefore, in total to date, Inter Miami have gained an additional $11.5m / £8.8m in prize money, on top of the participation payout already in their pocket.
If Miami beat PSG on Sunday, they will earn another $13.125m / £9.7m for reaching the quarter-finals.
A semi-final appearance would add another $21.0m / £15.6m; and a final place comes with another $30m / £22.3m.
The winning club could earn up to $125million / £93m, which rivals the prize money earmarked for the winners of the UEFA Champions League.
This is made up of $40m for winning the final, added to prize money for progressing from each round.
Only Manchester City could earn the maximum prize money available, being the only club to win all three of their group matches.
