Games to watch from the National League this week

 Woking vs Wealdstone  

• Date: Tuesday, August 19
• Time: 7:45pm BST 

It's been a contrasting start to the season for these clubs, adding extra intrigue to this fixture just two games into the new campaign.

Wealdstone are off to a flyer, having won their first two games. Neil Gibson's side saw off new boys Truro on the opening day and followed that up with a win over Halifax at the weekend. 

They travel to a Woking side who are still looking for their first points on the board. Saturday's defeat at Scunthorpe came off the back of a loss to Carlisle on matchday one, so Neal Ardley will be looking to get off the mark in this one. 

Southend vs York City 

• Date: Wednesday, August 20
• Time: 7:45pm BST

Two of the teams that were talked about ahead of the season as being promotion contenders this season meet at Roots Hall on Wednesday. 

Southend have so far shown no sign of play-off defeat hangover and have opened up the season with back-to-back victories and are yet to concede a goal. 

However, their toughest test yet comes with the visit of York City, who are looking to mount another promotion charge after falling short as runners-up last year. 

Rochdale vs Gateshead

• Date: Wednesday, August 20 
• Time: 7:45pm BST  

Rochdale were heavily fancied to be among the promotion talk this season, and they've so far lived up to the early-season hype. 

It's two wins from two for Jim McNulty's men, and they host Gateshead looking to keep the impressive start going. 

Alun Armstrong's team got their first win of the season on Saturday, as they beat Eastleigh, so they'll want to follow that up with a victory at the Crown Oil Arena.
