It'll be a while until we see Richarlison on the pitch again.
The Tottenham Hotspur and Brazil attacker left Spurs' 2-1 third-round FA Cup defeat to Aston Villa in the 31st minute after feeling discomfort in his hamstring, and Thomas Frank confirmed on Friday that the injury will keep the 28-year-old sidelined for a considerable amount of time.
"Unfortunately," the Tottenham manager said in a press conference, "Richarlison has a hamstring injury that will keep him out for up to seven weeks."
Spurs are 14th in the Premier League standings and will surely miss Richarlison's production, as the forward had played in every league match for the club so far this season, scoring seven goals in 21 appearances (eight goals in 31 appearances in all competitions). The Brazilian only appeared in 15 Premier League matches last season as he struggled with various injuries.
Should Richarlison's recovery take as long as expected, he would not return for Tottenham until their March 14 match against Liverpool.
