The Serie A weekend was dominated by narrow wins, as new faces made their mark, and the league's biggest names made all the difference.

With a famous win in Cagliari and the title trio all picking up wins, how many of them made the round's team of the week for Matchday 21?

Ash Rose has once again taken his picks...

Edoardo Corvi (Parma)

Parma earned a point at home to Genoa, and were indebted to their goalie for keeping them in the game.

Corvi made a string of excellent saves to make sure of a clean sheet and a share of the spoils.

Mehdi Leris (Pisa)

Pisa kicked the weekend off by holding in-form Atalanta to a 1-1 draw, aided by Leris' cameo off the bench.

The full-back assisted Rafiu Durosinmi in salvaging a point, just three minutes from the end.

Maunel Akanji (Inter)

One of the signings of the season in Serie A, the Swiss defender was once again a rock at the back for Inter.

In a game against Udinese's unpredictable attack, he never gave the home frontline a sniff and racked up another clean sheet.

Yerry Mina (Cagliari)

The former Everton man used all his experience to help his side earn a clean sheet against Juventus, as they put an end to the Old Lady's recent run.

For all the attacking talent, Juve had on the field, Mina and his backline were able to cope, and land a famous victory.

Alexis Saelemaekers (Milan)

One of Milan's unsung heroes of the season, few have been more consistent than the Belgian this season and it was he who helped secure the win for the Rossoneri.

Stanislav Lobotka (Napoli)

Napoli are keeping on top of a stretched squad and doing enough to win games, and this week it was thanks to Lobotka.

It took just seven minutes for the Slovakian to score the winner, and he helped the champions hold on for a precious three points.

Luca Mazzitelli (Cagliari)

A match winner in one of the results of the season in Serie A, as Cagliari halted Juventus' unbeaten run of seven games.

The midfielder's goal just after the hour mark was the icing on the cake to a dominant display in the middle for Mazzitelli.

Rolando Mandragora (Fiorentina)

The Fiorentina revival goes on and Sunday's win over Bologna was spearheaded by their all-action midfielder.

Magdragora netted his sixth goal of the season to open the scoring in the 2-1 away win.

Niklas Fullkrug (Atalanta)

Chose the right moment to announce his arrival at Milan following his loan move from West Ham in the January window.

The big German proved what firepower the Rossoneri now have at their disposal by coming off the bench to net the vital winner against Lecce that keeps Milan on the coattails of their rivals.

Pablo Dybala  (Roma)

Donyell Malen made an immediate impact for Roma, but it was the familiar face of Pablo Dybala who was the game's outstanding player as they won away at Torino.

The Argentine set up the first for the debutant Dutchman, before sealing the win with the clincher in the second half.

Lautaro Martinez (Inter)

Another Serie A weekend and another example of why Lautaro Martinez is the difference maker for the league leaders.

El Toro netted his eleventh goal of the season to extend his lead at the top of the goalscoring charts and settle the game against Udinese, as Inter roll on as league leaders.
