NHL Games To Watch For The Week Of January 5

Anaheim Ducks @ Washington Capitals: Monday, January 5/Tuesday, January 6 (7:00 pm ET/Midnight GMT/2:00 am CEST)

Two teams with high expectations have been struggling as of late. The Capitals have lost back-to-back games and are only 3-5-2 in their last ten games. The Ducks haven't fared better after a hot start to the season by losing five in a row and 2-6-2 in their last ten games. 

Something has to give as someone's losing streak has to end. 

Colorado Avalanche @ Tampa Bay Lightning: Tuesday, January 6/Wednesday, January 7 (7:00 pm ET/Midnight GMT/2:00 am CEST)

The two points leaders of the Eastern and Western Conferences square off. 

The Avalanche have been head and shoulders above everyone else, leading the NHL with 69 points, while the Lightning have 53 points to lead the East. 

Los Angeles Kings @ Edmonton Oilers: Saturday, January 10/Sunday, January 11 (10pm ET/3am GMT/5am CEST)

Connor McDavid is leading the way for the Oilers and continues to show why he's currently the best player in the league. McDavid is on a 15-game point streak (36 points; 14 goals, 22 assists) to lead the Oilers at the top of the Pacific Division. 

McDavid loves facing the Kings, as he has 44 points against them in 34 regular-season games.
