Typically, the Winter Classic takes place at either a baseball or football stadium, with the 2026 game keeping up the tradition.
The two-time defending Stanley Cup champion Panthers got off to a rough start to begin the season due to injuries. However, as players have slowly returned to health, the team has played better. The Panthers have a 21-15-3 record with 45 points. They are 6-3-1 in their last 10 games.
On the other hand, the Rangers have been inconsistent. Currently, the Rangers are 19-18-5 with 43 points. But they are 4-5-1 in their last ten games.
